Oil, acrylic, blue, gold and variegated metal leaf on canvas, 60x60cm (2015).

This piece is higlighting the importance and plight of the polar bear, surrounded in a jewel-like landscape of gold and blue-silver leaf. Echoing the world is precious and beautiful, and should be treasured along with the animals that roam it. They were here first after all, especially the polar bear who has to fight against such harsh conditions to survive, which are being made even harder by Mankind. Polar bears traditionally symbolise endurance, strength and acceptance, The Inuit people (Eskimos) of northern Canada, Alaska, and Greenland, greatly respect polar bears for their strength, courage and spiritual power. They believe that a polar bear is a wise teacher that shows one how to survive in harsh situations amd its a shame the rest of the world dont show this amazing animal such reverence....

We offer two beautiful framing choices on our originals of either a flat wooden white natural tray frame with a white mount backing, or a black flat natural wooden tray frame, with black mount backing. These modern choices compliment the artwork perfectly and suit most decors.
