This piece is about how the rising sea temperatures from global warming drastically affect the aquatic life. Seahorses are particularly sensitive to any changes in their environment as they’re such delicate little creatures, so in this piece they are gradually changing from cold colours to warm colours the higher they ‘rise’ from the depth, to represent this. I have long been fascinated with these enigmatic creatures that often manifest in my work. I also love what they represent as Seahorses also traditionally are symbols of luck, peace, uniqueness and perseverance…. 🌈
