For enquires about Originals please contact info@louisemcnaught.comColoured pencil on cartridge paper 21x29cm. Comes framed in either a made-to-measure chunky white or black wooden float mounted frame of your choice. This pangolin drawing (3rd in the Cute Collection) used all of the pencils! I wanted it to look as though it’s melting in cactus flower petals, as this is a common flower from the habitat of the pangolin (mainly desert dwelling) and also hints at the fragility of this victim of illegal wildlife crime. There are 8 Pangolin species in Asia and Africa, and they range from vulnerable to critically endangered as these sweet creatures are killed for their meat and scales, particularly in Chinese medicine - though thankfully this has now been banned in China.
