Oil, acrylic, spray paint and gold leaf on canvas (2016), 60x70x4cm.

This piece depicts the nobel and sadly endangered Red Hartebeest Gazelles. These majestic and ancient-looking animals have been painted almost bowing down, 'on their knees' as a metaphor for the situation they are in with the dwindling population due to lack of habitat. Disappearing into upward drips in interspersed with gold highlights their divine status, creating a dramatic yet somehow Soulful image....

We offer two beautiful framing choices on our originals of either a flat wooden white natural tray frame with a white mount backing, or a black flat natural wooden tray frame, with black mount backing. These modern choices compliment the artwork perfectly and suit most decors. We can also deliver framed painting overseas (postage included).
