This painting is of a Great Panda who were once classed as an endangered species, but due to conservation efforts, have expanded in number and are now classed as a vulnerable species, thus somewhat restoring the imbalance caused by Man. In Chinese mythology the Panda is the incarnation of Yin and Yang, as they are half black and half white. Yin and Yang, representing the duality and balancing of the shadow and the light.
