The Luck Collection was created on Victorian playing cards of animals that have traditionally been associated with luck and good fortune. Each piece has been framed and float mounted in a bespoke black ornate frame. This one is of a European Brown Hare. Hares have traditionally been seen as lucky. The hare served as an attribute of Aphrodite and as a gift between lovers. In late antiquity it was used as a symbol of good luck and in connection with long life. 🐇
